Beacon Gallery is calling for entries for its first international juried art show.
Beacon Gallery is calling all artists to submit their best work, and Beacon Gallery's show will represent the jury's selection.
Three awards of excellence will be given out, as well as three honorable mentions.
Our jurors are:
Thad Beal: Thaddeus Beal is a consummate Boston artist. Boston born-and- bred, as well as a graduate of the Museum School, Beal has been a Mass Council Fellowship finalist five times, and won three times. Beal is also a New England Foundation for the Arts Recipient. Beal's work has been shown in galleries in Boston and New York, and collected by Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, among other institutions. He is represented by Gallery Soprafina.
Christine O'Donnell: Christine O'Donnell is the owner and gallery manager of Beacon Gallery. The international juried show is a chance to bring artwork from all over the world into the gallery and for O'Donnell to get to know new artists and their work.
Peter Vanderwarker: Peter Vanderwarker was a Loeb Fellow at Harvard University in 1997, and he has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the U.C. Berkeley. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and The Graham Foundation. His work earned Institute Honors from the American Institute of Architects in 1992. His photographs are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Addison Gallery of American Art. In 2009 the Boston Athenaeum presented Vanderwarker's Pantheon: Minds and Matter. He is represented by Gallery NAGA Boston.
