Beacon Gallery is pleased to present for June and July a solo show entitled “Spring Revolution” by artist Aula Alayoubi.
Beacon Gallery’s exhibition, “Spring Revolution” examines Alayoubi’s most recent body of work – encompassing her transition from her life in the Middle East to her life here in Massachusetts, as well as her reactions to the evolving political situation in her homeland of Syria.
Alayoubi’s works tend towards an overarching theme of a female figure, but brings in other allegorical or metaphorical elements in order to create a symbolic narrative in her paintings. Her works explore the ideas of femininity, politics and emotions.
“Spring Revolution” runs from June 7th through July 28th at Beacon Gallery, with an opening reception on the 7th at 6 pm, in conjunction with June's First Friday.
