Anne Peretz

Artist Biography

Anne Peretz studied painting at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiére in Paris, when she was 13. At Smith College she worked with Mervin Jules and Leonard Baskin. Later she did printmaking with Seong Moy at Pratt Institute and painting with Anthony Toney at the New School.

Peretz’s subject is landscape. She has painted mostly on Cape Cod when the images are sometimes tough and sometimes calm, seductively calm.
